Here at Abacus Motorhomes, we’re lucky to meet some truly inspiring people in the motorhome world—and James Riley, the creator of Motorhome Happiness, is one of the best.

With a community that’s grown to over 104,000 Facebook members, James has turned a simple idea into a movement: to create a positive, welcoming space for all motorhome lovers—no matter their background, experience, or vehicle.

How It All Began…

James and his wife bought their Swift motorhome, fondly named ‘Tilly’, six years ago. Like many of us, they discovered that motorhoming wasn’t just a way to travel—it was a way to escape, reset, and reconnect.

When James encountered negativity and criticism in other online motorhoming communities, he decided to do something radical: create a space where kindness comes first. That’s how Motorhome Happiness was born.
