Planning Your Motorhome Summer Holiday

How is your summer holiday planning going? 

The UK is currently experiencing a glorious heatwave, and with the summer holidays right round the corner we can only hope to experience more! 

The question we’re here to ask is - why go abroad when we can experience the beautiful sunny weather right here in the UK? If you’re like us, we know you’ll want to make the most of the Great British summer. 

That’s why we’re here to help you with some great tips for planning a motorhome holiday this Summer! 

Which motorhome should you book? 

Step one in planning your summer holiday is deciding which motorhome you should book for the adventure, and actually booking it. One key part of this decision is who is going away with you? 

Here at Abacus Motorhomes, we have an extensive hire range, comprising 2 berth, 4 berth and 6 berth motorhomes. Whether you’re looking to go on a fun-filled family holiday, romantic getaway or friendship group tour - we’ve got you covered. 

We always recommend booking sooner rather than later because our hire range gets booked up quick! We don’t want you to miss out on motorhome adventures this summer. 

Where should you go? 

Now the admin is out of the way, we can get to the fun part! The UK is home to many stunning yet exciting things to do and places to see, you’ve just got to know where. 

There are many great campsites dotted around the UK, home to everything you could ever want from a holiday. We’re members of The Camping and Caravanning Club, so we recommend having a look for tourist inspiration and information before setting off. If there’s a particular area you would like to visit, but don’t know where to go or what to do, we suggest having a look at TripAdvisor for further inspiration. 

We know that planning a trip can be daunting. After all, there are so many routes and places to see. We hope that by setting out some clear places to start, we can make that process easier for you so that you can better enjoy your holiday. Better yet, our Andover showroom’s HQ is located just off of the A303 - making it the perfect starting point for easy connections to the South of England and beyond! 

But wherever you go, don’t forget that on your last night you need to be back at HQ to return your motorhome by 10:30am, so don’t choose your final location too far away..! 

What should you take? 

One of the great things about motorhome camping over regular camping is all the extra space and amenities you get as a result. We want it to be your home from home!
